 The source states that Buhari’s doctors have placed him under long observation to see if they can diagnose what is wrong with him - The presidency official however dismisses reports that the president is down with acute prostate 

The inexplicable nature President Muhammadu Buhari’s illness has fueled speculation in some quarters that he may have been poisoned or under some kind of spiritual attack. 

These allegations were cited by a presidency source when highlighting the nature of the president’s illness. According to the presidency source, doctors in the UK have been unable to diagnose the cause of President Muhammadu Buhari’s illness despite having carried out series of tests on the president for more than three months.

 The source told the Independent that the cause of Buhari’s illness was yet to be detected even after renowned medical practitioners both within and outside the UK had conducted tests him. 

The source who spoke under the condition of anonymity however absolved the presidency of concealing the president's actual state of health, noting that the presidency can only disclose what it knows. 

He said: “Those accusing the presidency of being economical with the truth on the actual state of health of the president are missing the point because you can only disclose what you know. “

As at today, nobody knows the kind of ailment battling Mr. President. Even his doctors in the UK don’t know what is wrong with him. Lots of tests have been done; in fact they have done everything humanly possible but they still can’t detect what is wrong with him. The official said Buhari’s doctors have placed him under long observation to see if they can diagnose what is wrong with him. 

According to the online newspaper, sources close to Buhari’s inmost associates had long disclosed that the president was beset by cancer. The newspaper which made the disclosure in a report dated August 6, 2017, also stated that recent visits to Buhari in London was staged by the cabal around the president to give the impression that the president had miraculously recovered.
